Job summary

True Leaf Farms in Yuma, AZ for 5 months per year at the location, and based in San Juan Bautista, CA/Salinas CA for the rest of the year, is hiring a Truck Driver. The role transports equipment and delivers produce between fields and the Distribution Center.

You will load/unload, drive to various sites, and adhere to DOT regulations, with weekend work when needed. Must have Class A driving experience and a valid license.

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Work on site with no public road driving required.
• Follow DOT rules and company policies; comply with drive time and rest breaks.
• Work weekends when necessary.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Job description

Employment Type: This position is required to relocate to Yuma, AZ for 5 months every year (Mid-November through Mid-April). The remainder of the year this position will be based out of San Juan Bautista, CA/Salinas CA.

The Truck Driver position is responsible for equipment transportation, as well as delivering produce and material to and from the field to the Distribution Center/Carton Yard.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILLITIES:

Safely load and unload trucks containing pallets, bins and equipment.

Safely drive and deliver product at all assigned locations.

Position is onsite, no public road driving required.

Comply with all state, federal laws and GTI company policies and procedures regulating the operation of vehicles and equipment.

Maintain knowledge of and comply with all Department of Transportation rules regulating drive time, rest breaks.

Must work weekends when necessary.

Perform any other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE

1+ year of Class A driving experience.

Valid California license with good DMV driving record.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.

Drivers must be able to move up to 50 lbs. and perform vigorous physical activity for sustained periods of time. Lifting, pushing, bending, stretching, stooping are all part of the loading and unloading process.

Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings, as necessary.
