Job summary

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking an Organic Class A Driver to transport products, materials and supplies between harvesting sites and packing sheds, and vice versa. This full-time role covers travel to Yuma, Coachella and Westmorland for up to five months per year. Day shift, reports to Organic Supervisor/Foreman, on organic harvesting sites.

Required are a Class A license with a double/triple trailer endorsement and at least two years of CDL experience. Pre-employment screening applies.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Double/Triple Trailer endorsement required.
• Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience.
• Must be willing to travel out of town for extended periods (5 months/year).
• Ability to read field tickets.

Responsibilities

• Transport product between harvesting sites and packing sheds.
• Move packaging materials and ice as needed.
• Operate diesel trucks with safe driving practices.
• Travel to Yuma, Coachella and Westmorland up to 5 months/year.

What you will need:

• Class A driver’s license, required.
• Double/Triple Trailer endorsement certificate, required.
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience with the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), required.
• Must be able to safely maneuver a diesel truck pulling a set of loaded trailers.
• Must be able and willing to travel out of town for extended periods
• Must have the ability to travel, 5 months out of the year, as required to: Yuma, Coachella and Westmorland.
• Must have a valid Class A driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company policy, insurance, and DMV requirements.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment screening consistent with applicable state and federal law.
