Job summary

Asphalt Materials, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Truck Driver to support the Dispatcher or Logistics Manager with daily instructions. You will operate various trucks, assist with trailer loading, and maintain logs and delivery documentation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of driving experience preferred, and a valid CDL with endorsements or ability to obtain them. You must pass DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred 2+ years of commercial driving experience.
• CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements preferred or able to obtain.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to operate tablets, electronic logs, and computers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, sit for long periods, and perform climbing, squatting, reaching, stooping, kneeling as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transport equipment to and from job sites in a safe and timely manner.
• Assist and supervise loading of trailers with emphasis on cargo and equipment safety.
• Maintain daily records such as logs, fuel logs, receipts, and delivery documentation.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report issues to mechanics and the Logistics Manager.
• Operate trucks in accordance with all DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety laws.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager and Dispatcher.

The driver can expect to fill any driver position (Support Truck, Tanker Truck, Box Truck, or any equipment for which they are qualified).
