Job summary

CMC is hiring a CDL driver to support our delivery and logistics network across the region. You will handle deliveries, perform pre-trip inspections, and maintain accurate records while adhering to safety and DOT requirements.

You will operate trucks and interact with dispatch, customers, and site teams, with training provided on ELDs and safety procedures. This is a full-time, regionally focused driver position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

Valid CDL and clean driving record.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Complete delivery paperwork and communicate load or timing issues with dispatch, sales, and customers.
Conduct daily pre-trip, in-trip, and post-trip inspections of truck and cargo.
Deliver products to customers, contractors, and jobsites within the region.
Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE.
Inventory and inspect products to confirm quantity and condition.
Load, secure, and deliver cargo safely and on time.
Maintain vehicle service and repair logs per regulations.
Operate vehicles using ELDs and safety dashcams (training provided).
Perform loading tasks including chaining, strapping, tarping, and trailer hookups.
Perform additional duties to ensure safe, compliant transportation per regulations.
Work flexible hours and be available based on business needs.

What You'll Do

Perform additional duties to ensure safe, compliant transportation per federal and state safety regulations
Work flexible hoursand be available based on business needs

What You'll Need

Strong verbal communication and listening skills
Ability to speak and understand English language in verbal communication
Ability to work independently and collaboratively while giving and receiving feedback
Valid Class A Commercial Driver License
Must be at least 21 years of age
Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
No DUI/DWI within the past five years
At least 1 year of verified tractor-trailer experience (3 years flatbed OTR preferred)
Working knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements
Ability to pass DOT physicals and drug testingNo more than one moving violation in the past three years
Ability to learn new tasks and adapt to changing requirements
Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing stairs/ladders, works with chains/strap, performs inspections

Your Education

High School Diploma or GED preferred
