Job summary

CMC is hiring a driver to support delivery operations across regional routes. You will complete paperwork, inspect loads, and ensure on-time delivery while following safety procedures.

You’ll use ELDs and dashcams, perform daily inspections, and work with dispatch to solve load and timing issues. Applicants must have a Class A CDL and at least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience (3 years flatbed preferred).

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A Commercial Driver License.
• At least 1 year of verified tractor-trailer experience; 3 years flatbed preferred.
• Ability to pass DOT physicals and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Complete delivery paperwork and communicate load or timing issues with dispatch, sales, and customers.
• Conduct daily pre-trip, in-trip, and post-trip inspections of truck and cargo.
• Deliver products to customers, contractors, and jobsites within the region.
• Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE.
• Inventory and inspect products to confirm quantity and condition.
• Load, secure, and deliver cargo safely and on time.
• Maintain vehicle service and repair logs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Operate vehicles using ELDs and safety dashcams (training provided).
• Perform loading tasks including chaining, strapping, tarping, trailer hooking/unhooking, use of sideboard kits and safely ascending/descending of truck/trailer.
• Perform additional duties to ensure safe, compliant transportation per federal and state safety regulations.
• Work flexible hours and be available based on business needs.

What You'll Need

• Strong verbal communication and listening skills
• Ability to speak and understand English language in verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while giving and receiving feedback
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• No DUI/DWI within the past five years
• At least 1 year of verified tractor-trailer experience (3 years flatbed OTR preferred)
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements
• Ability to pass DOT physicals and drug testing
• No more than one moving violation in the past three years
• Ability to learn new tasks and adapt to changing requirements
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing stairs/ladders, works with chains/strap, performs inspections

Your Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
