Job summary

Boise Cascade is seeking a Truck Driver to deliver and distribute building products to assigned customers safely, accurately and on schedule. This full-time position requires a Class A Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) and the ability to operate tractor/trailer combinations in all weather conditions.

You will load and unload, secure loads, inspect cargo, maintain logs per DOT regulations, and provide professional service during deliveries.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or two (2) years equivalent work experience
  • Must have Class A Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) and possess the ability to safely operate transportation equipment (i.e., tractor/trailer combinations)
  • Two (2) years truck driving experience required
  • Must have working knowledge of DOT regulations and meet BC driver qualifications
  • Performs duties in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and promptly report vehicle, equipment or safety concerns
  • Provide professional and courteous service to customers during deliveries
  • Perform duties safely in all weather conditions and adapt to changing road and job-site conditions
  • Follow all applicable company policies, procedures and safety standards
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous flatbed truck driving experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Experience with mountain driving preferred.
  • Experience securing loads with straps and other cargo securement equipment.
  • Previous experience delivering building materials or other heavy cargo is a plus.
