Job summary

Elite Comfort Solutions, a Leggett & Platt Company, operates a polyurethane foam manufacturing facility and seeks a CDL Driver to join the local team. The role is based at our facility with Monday–Friday hours from 5:00 a.m.

to 2:30 p.m., driving tractor-trailers and delivering foam products to customers. Candidates must be at least 22 years old, hold a valid Class A CDL, have one year of verifiable OTR experience, pass a DOT physical and drug screen, and perform daily vehicle inspections and

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL with at least 1 year of verifiable OTR experience.
  • Must be 22 years of age or older and able to pass DOT physical and drug screen.
  • Ability to perform daily pre-trip inspections and handle DOT documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Drive tractor-trailer to assigned destinations and back into docks.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
  • Obtain signed BOL from customers.
  • Occasionally assist in warehouse when not on the road.
  • Maintain hours of service per company policy.

Job Summary:

The CDL Driver will be based out of our local polyurethane foam manufacturing facility. (Monday - Friday , 5-6am to 2:30pm)

Qualifications, Knowledge, Education & Experience:

Must be at least 22 years of age to perform this job. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Minimum Standards for Commercial Vehicle Driver Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 22 years old with a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • Have at least one (1) year verifiable Over-the-Road experience
  • Pass a DOT physical and DOT drug screen
  • Meet all DOT and Company requirements
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Check delivery schedule and receive assignment from supervisor.
  • Drive tractor-trailer to assigned destination. Some destinations will require caution and good driving skills because of limited space and heavy traffic. Back trailers into dock or unloading area as instructed by the customer.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspection as required by DOT regulations and record findings on ELD. Check oil, fuel, tires, batteries, etc. on vehicle and report any defects to supervisor.
  • Obtain signed BOL from customer.
  • Occasionally assist in warehouse when not on the road.
  • Maintain hours of service via ELD per company policy.
  • Shipping and Receiving Operations.
  • Complete daily forklift inspection to include filling out required paperwork.
Education:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Follow verbal instructions and simple math.
  • Attendance/Punctuality- Is consistently at work and on time.
  • Quality- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; maintains a clean and organized work environment.
  • Quantity- Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity.
  • Safety- Observes all safety procedures and policies; Reports potentially unsafe conditions to supervisor; Uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.
