Job summary

Northern National Trucking in Clear Lake, Iowa, is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our professional team. Trucks are dispatched from our Clear Lake HQ to dealer locations across our service territory, with home nights and weekends.

This role offers hourly pay from $25 to $31 depending on experience and endorsements, and includes benefits such as 401(k), health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, and reimbursement programs.

Qualifications

• Must have Valid Class A CDL and DOT Medical Card.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screening.
• Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport products to dealer and customer locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload products per company and DOT requirements.
• Maintain accurate logs and delivery records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.

Trucks are dispatched from our Clear Lake headquarters to transport products to dealer locations throughout our service territory.

Schedule

Responsibilities

• Safely transport products to dealer and customer locations.

Qualifications

Required

• Valid Class A CDL
• Valid DOT Medical Card
• Clean driving record
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions
• Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug screening
• Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements are required for this position and must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

• Commercial driving experience preferred
• Experience hauling agricultural or manufacturing products preferred

Compensation

This position is paid hourly, with a pay range of $25–$31 per hour depending on experience, qualifications, and endorsements. Hours worked over 40 in a workweek are considered overtime and paid at time and a half.
