Job summary

Byer Steel is seeking a Truck Driver in Cincinnati, OH to handle deliveries and material pick-ups as directed by the Transportation Manager. The role requires a CDL Class A license, with at least two years' experience and flatbed expertise, plus the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform post-trip inspections.

Responsibilities include maintaining ELD logs, inspecting loads, ensuring safety, and completing all required paperwork. Overnight trips may be required, and PPE is mandatory.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A License is required.
• Two years of experience with Class A license required.
• Flatbed experience is required.
• Dump trailer and roll-off truck experience preferred.

• Maintain an accurate ELD Log for company and DOT records (Hours, Mileage, Fuel, ect.)
• To make deliveries and pick up material as directed by Transportation Manager
• Inspect and secure loads and check axle weights before leaving to insure safe travel
• Must be available for overnight loads when needed
• Complete all paperwork as needed for company and customers
• Maintain safe driving Practices at all times and keep equipment clean
• Complete a Post Inspection of equipment and notify manager of any defects
