Job summary

Bannock County is seeking to hire a Truancy Court Program Coordinator to manage and coordinate services for youth and families referred through truancy citations. You will work with Juvenile Court, schools, law enforcement, and service providers to monitor attendance, coordinate screenings, and ensure compliance with court orders.

The role requires strong case management, collaboration, and data reporting skills while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism across multiple settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in juvenile probation, truancy services, social services, education, case management, court-related behavioral services, or related field preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and administers the Truancy Court Program, including monitoring youth participation and compliance with court orders and case management requirements.
• Reviews and processes truancy citations and referrals; coordinates appropriate screenings, assessments, service referrals, and follow-up.
• Develops and monitors individualized case management plans to address school attendance, family needs, and identified concerns.
• Coordinates Truancy Court proceedings, including scheduling hearings, preparing reports and recommendations, and providing case updates to the Court.
