We have immediate opportunities for Truancy Case Managers to join our Community Services Division.

These positions are full-time and require travel within assigned areas of the city

Valid driver’s license required

Starting pay - $21.20/hour

Work schedule may include occasional evenings

In addition, as a Truancy Case Manager your duties will include:

  • Engaging clients (students), families and other relevant individuals in a collaborative relationship that will enhance the potential for the client’s completion of service with positive outcomes; caseload size will vary
  • Working collaboratively with families, schools and court representatives in the development and implementation of service plans to facilitate regular school attendance; providing advocacy services in community settings most conducive to achieving desired goals with clients, including but not limited to clients’ homes, schools, court, recreation centers and treatment facilities
  • Maintaining awareness about the availability of community resources and facilitating client/family access to appropriate resources and services necessary to support and supplement service goals
  • Collecting/monitoring required school data and client satisfaction materials in the prescribed format; communicating with DHS and the Court and, within privacy rights protections, with school personnel and other service providers regarding service status and outcomes for RTC-involved students and families.
  • Accompanying and assisting children and families through Truancy Court proceedings; preparing and submitting, in a timely manner, all court mandated documentation related to each client’s case, and statistical reports as required
  • Advocating with and for clients for access to appropriate level of care placements
  • Adhering to Agency and regulatory entity guidelines concerning caseload requirements, service delivery, accountability and confidentiality
  • Participating in required interdisciplinary functions and meetings
  • Working productively and collaboratively with other members of the Truancy Case Management team and other CORA team members
  • Completing other projects and assignments as directed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services or related discipline
  • Demonstrated case management experience
  • Knowledge of substances of abuse and their effects preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required and driving record must meet CORA standards
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain positive, productive working relationships internally and with external partners (e.g., court & school personnel, families, community partners, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively manage assigned caseload variability
  • Proficient with Office 365 applications
