Job summary

Valar Atomics is building a TRISO fuel pilot line in Orangeville, Utah, where a Process Technician will own and optimize state-of-the-art chemical processing equipment. You will install, troubleshoot, and operate pilot-scale uranium processing systems, collaborating with engineers, operators, and other specialists in a high‑stakes energy tech environment.

The role is full-time on-site in Utah, with a focus on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement as the company scales transformative

Qualifications

• Proven track record of excellence in previous jobs and activities.
• Strong interest in materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems for wet chemistry and/or high temperature processing.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to support root cause investigations.
• Experience in production/industrial environments.
• Excellent communication, technical documentation, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Emery County, Utah.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of process equipment and adherence to procedures and safety standards.
• Quality control sampling, analyses, and reporting of out-of-spec results.
• Equipment inspection, preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Shift documentation and thorough handovers for continuity across shifts.
• Monitoring environmental compliance and timely reporting of deviations.
• Yield improvement initiatives to enhance performance over time.
• Cross-functional collaboration with other processing line functions.
