Job Description Summary / TWC Summary TRIO Upward Bound Math and Science ( UBMS ) Project Coordinator isresponsible for assisting with the planning, organization,coordination, and implementation of the day-to-day operations andprogram services of the TRIO Upward Bound Math and Science Program.Working collaboratively with the Director, the Project Coordinatorsupports program staff in developing, implementing, monitoring, andevaluating academic initiatives, student services, and programactivities that advance the mission, goals, and objectives of theTRIO Upward Bound Math and Science Program. The Director providesstrategic leadership, oversight, and direction for all programoperations, while the Project Coordinator assists in ensuring theeffective delivery of services and compliance with programrequirements.
This is a Grant Funded position.
Essential Duties Summary
- Collaborate with the Project Director in implementing acomprehensive college preparatory curriculum, includingmathematics, English, composition, science, foreign language,computer science, test preparation, and tutorial services designedto meet the academic needs of program participants.
- Work with the Project Director to plan, coordinate, andimplement educational activities, including academic and summerprogramming, staff training, and class scheduling.
- In coUaboration with the Project Director and program staff,provide comprehensive academic, personal, career, and financial aidadvising and support to program participants.
- Assist the Project Director in assessing, documenting, andaddressing the academic, personal, and motivational needsofparticipants to ensure appropriate program services areprovided.
- Support the Project Director in promoting the program andcoordinating recruitment efforts with target schools to identify,screen, and select eligible participants.
- Assist participants, particularly seniors, with postsecondaryadmissions, scholarship opportunities, financial aid applications,and college enrollment processes.
- Monitor participant academic progress and maintain accuratedocumentation in collaboration with the Project Director to ensurecompliance with program objectives and federal reportingrequirements.
- Assist in providing participants and families with informationregarding postsecondary entrance requirements, financial aidopportunities, and college readiness resources.
- Collaborate with the Project Director in planning,coordinating, and implementing educational, and enrichmentactivities during the summer and academic year.
- Assist with the supervision, training, and evaluation ofundergraduate tutors, mentors, and student staff under thedirection of the Project Director.
- Participate in collaborative initiatives with other TRIOpre-collegiate programs and university departments to strengthenparticipant services and identify internal and external resourcesthat enhance program outcomes.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned with assistancefrom the Project Director.

Hiring Range $55,038.89 - $70,174.59
Education
Required: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Counseling, Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
Required Licensing/Certification Valid Texas Driver’s License preferred.

Work Experience
- Experience with Federal TRIO programs assisting disadvantage,low income, and firstgeneration pre-college students.
- Experience coordinating project programming and fieldexperiences
- Experience advising and assisting students with the collegeadmissions and financial aid process
- Professional or personal experience in overcoming barrierssimilar to those confronting Project Participants
- Formal training and/or work experience promoting the completionof a rigorous secondary school program of study
- Formal training and/or work experience increasingpost-secondary enrollment rates and promoting college degreeattainment rates for low-income and potential first-generationcollege students.
