Job summary

University of Nevada, Las Vegas is seeking a Coordinator for Educational Opportunity Center to assist with overseeing federal TRIO adult programs. You will coordinate counseling and advising, including academic planning, course selection, and financial aid information, to help under‑resourced adults, veterans, and first‑generation students pursue higher education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of professional experience in a comparable position.
• Candidate must be able to drive and maintain a valid Nevada driver’s license.
• Candidate must be able to pass a federal background check and be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with oversight and administration of federal TRIO adult programs.
• Coordinate counseling/advising including academic advising, course selection, and financial aid information.
• Develop programming to enhance participants’ academic success and assist with program goals and grant activities.
• Foster partnerships with community organizations to support recruitment and retention.
