Job summary

Renew Cannabis Co. in California seeks a results-oriented manager to oversee trimming, processing, and packing operations in a fast-paced cannabis facility.

You will supervise shifts, manage labor and costs, ensure quality, and drive continuous process improvements to support production goals. Responsibilities include coordinating with supervisors, inventory, laboratory, and safety teams; maintaining cure standards, scheduling, and reporting on performance.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Create schedule for trimming, machine trimming of flower or smalls, quality control and packing of finished goods.
  • 2. Make sure Supervisors follow the workplan and communicate adjustments.
  • 3. Schedule with distribution for availability of trucks for delivery of product and materials.
  • 4. Manage labor associated with each job.
  • 5. Oversee costs of labor and materials.
  • 6. Report back to growing team for any quality issues there might be.
  • 7. Make sure lab samples are prepared to be sent out with the Processing Inventory Team.
  • 8. Continuously work on improvements and efficiencies of processes and equipment for ergonomics, overall performance, and quality of product.
  • 9. Set climate specs for cannabis inventory.
  • 10. Set incentive pay goals for trimmers and report actual bonus pay.
  • 11. Approval of schedules for Supervisors and Leads.
  • 12. Create quality specs for every job in the department.
  • 13. Cover for Supervisors, if needed.
  • 14. Oversee that Supervisors communicate from one shift to another.
  • 15. Manage accuracy of data and report any issues to the finance team.
  • 16. Have communication with Inventory to make sure there is enough product to work on.
  • 17. Make sure the product has a proper cure.
  • 18. Give Sales update on quality of product and offer a heads-up for any lower quality product.
  • 19. Create a safe work environment to avoid injuries to employees. Report any issues to Director of Safety.
  • 20. Follow up with maintenance to resolve any issues with equipment.
  • 21. Report any issues with employees to the HR department.
  • 22. Create, update Sop's as needed.
  • 23. Rotate with other managers for weekend coverage
  • 24. Communicate with other managers when they cover your area
  • 25. Manager must drive the department for continuous improvement
  • 26. Must cover two shifts on a rotation, as needed, between day and night to fully support staff.
