Job summary

PowerGrid Services, LLC is seeking a hands-on crew member to operate a Jarraff and other heavy equipment for power line right-of-way vegetation management. You will work outdoors, in all weather, performing manual tasks, driving between sites, and strictly following safety protocols.

Responsibilities include using chippers, chainsaws, bucket trucks, and PPE, with emphasis on accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to incident reporting procedures while traveling as needed and working overtime when

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• CDL is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• Must be able to pass drug, alcohol, and background checks.
• Must have good hand eye coordination.
• Able and willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able and willing to work for extended periods in various locations.
• Able and willing to work in all types of weather environments including inclement weather.
• Able and willing to work overtime when required.
• Must be able to enter and exit vehicles numerous times per day.
• Must be able to wear PPE.
• Understanding of the utility industry and operations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed outside in all types of weather environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, climb, stoop, stand, and lift for long periods of time.
• Substantial movements of the hands, wrists, and/or fingers.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from various heights.
• Must be able to work in uneven and slippery conditions.
• Required to have close visual acuity to perform job duties.
