Job summary

PowerGrid Services, LLC is seeking a skilled equipment operator to manage a Jarraff and related heavy gear for power line right-of-way vegetation management. The role involves outdoor work in all weather, strict safety protocols, and reliable performance on schedule.

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and stamina for long travel and overtime. CDL is preferred; DOT Medical Card may be required. Applicants must pass drug, alcohol, and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate heavy equipment as listed (Jarraff) and hand tools safely.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination and the ability to repair tools as needed.
• Must be able to pass background checks and drug tests; must have a valid driver’s license.
• CDL preferred and ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Jarraff and other heavy equipment for vegetation management.
• Perform manual labor and maintain a neat, safe job site.
• Operate chippers, chainsaws, bucket trucks, and other hand tools as needed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks involving physical manual labor.
• Maintain a neat and clean job site to avoid potential hazards.
• Operate chippers, chainsaws, bucket trucks, and other hand tools as needed.
• Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• CDL is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• Must be able to pass drug, alcohol, and background checks.
