Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Lindsay, OK is seeking a climbing arborist to join our outdoor team. You will climb and prune trees, remove hazardous limbs, and work with a hand-picked crew to deliver safe, high-quality tree care services.

The role requires comfort with heights, training upon hire, and adherence to safety standards. We provide gear, ongoing safety training, and opportunities for skill advancement within a nationwide employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Outdoor enthusiasts welcome
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping or working at heights preferred
• Complete Davey Tree Orientation Program upon hire
• Complete Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Preferred: State-required pesticide licenses/certificates

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems
• Work as active crew member with ground crew and crew leader
• Perform pruning and removal safely and skillfully
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood in the canopy
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
• Remove hazardous trees
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts

Position Overview

Trimand removetrees, remove unwanted,diseased or dying limbs on trees, or to affect the health and safety of trees or surrounding areasby performing the following duties.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Including but not limited to:
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
