Job summary

TP Mechanical is seeking a detail-oriented layout designer to coordinate multiple projects from design through completion. You will work with field teams to perform precise Trimble RTS layouts on-site, review control points, and support BIM coordination for as-built or existing conditions.

The role requires hands-on experience with Trimble, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. A high school diploma or GED is required, with an associate degree in drafting or design technology preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with Trimble RTS and layout coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and mechanical plans and specifications.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Qualifications And Experience

• Experience/Qualifications Required:
• Expertise with Trimble, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite.
• 1-3 years of hands-on mechanical/plumbing design experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Trimble is essential.

• Education:
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Associate degree, Technical Degree in drafting, or design technology is preferred.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Able to walk job sites.
  • Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to walk; climb or balance.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
