The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe invites applications for a Tribal Public Health Communications & Data Specialist in Fort Yates, ND. This full-time role develops communication strategies and manages public health data to support the Tribe's health priorities.

You will collect and analyze tribal health data, prepare reports, and craft culturally relevant health messages for leadership and the SRST community, ensuring timely information during emergencies.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Communications, Marketing, Data Science, or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and meet insurability requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Collect, maintain, retrieve, analyze, and interpret Tribal public health data from multiple sources to identify health trends and support data-driven decision-making.
• Serve as the primary public health data liaison and support SRST Tribal Health Department activities, including monthly and grant reports.
• Monitor public health trends and emerging issues at national, state, reservation, and local levels to keep stakeholders informed.
• Develop and implement strategic communication and messaging initiatives that support public health objectives and inform Leadership and community about risks, trends, services, and resources.
• Create culturally appropriate health campaigns, educational materials, presentations, and outreach approaches for Tribal communities.
• Coordinate print and digital communications across publications, websites, dashboards, and other platforms for sharing health information.
• Collaborate with Tribal governments, IHS, state and federal health agencies, and partners to align health strategies and coordinate communications during emergencies.
