Job summary

Valliant Consulting Group in Nambe Pueblo, NM is seeking a Construction Manager to lead bid development, schedule major projects, and coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and Tribal leadership. You will ensure effective communications and maintain project plans and budgets.

You will review pay applications, monitor compliance with codes and specifications, and support Tribal Council in funding decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field or 2 years of experience as a Construction Manager; or 10 years of experience as a Construction Manager.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's license.
  • Pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screen and background investigation required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction on project approach including involvement of engineers, architects, and design feasibility.
  • Develop or coordinate schematic budgets and cost estimates for projects.
  • Present to Tribal Council to update on projects or funding requests.
  • Coordinate competitive bid packages and review with departments.
  • Assist in selecting architects and engineers and ensure contracts are approved.
  • Coordinate project meetings with designers and field staff through design phases.
  • Maintain and update project plans and timelines.
  • Review project pay applications for accuracy and submit to Tribal Council.
  • Inspect work for code compliance and conformance to bid documents.
  • Ensure projects comply with plans, codes, budget and standards.
  • Meet regularly with Tribal Administrator for updates and strategy.
  • Report to Tribal Council on progress and input for scope/design.
