Job summary

The State of Nevada Health Authority, Community and Provider Engagement Unit in Reno, seeks a Social Services Program Specialist 3 to serve as Tribal and Community Liaison, fostering partnerships with Indian tribes and community groups.

You will help develop and update the Division Community and Provider Engagement Plan, supervise staff, and coordinate with executive leadership to promote open communication and effective services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field pertinent to the program assignment with two years of professional social services experience, including coordinating and advising; OR one year as Social Services Program Specialist II in Nevada; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop social services or medical assistance programs; conduct needs assessments; research and evaluate existing programs.
• Develop and revise program documentation including State plans, policies, procedures and contracts; ensure alignment with regulations.
• Monitor program quality and compliance; design monitoring instruments and prepare management reports; conduct on-site reviews.

Education

Bachelor's degree and two years of professional social services experience

Experience as Social Services Program Specialist II in Nevada State service

Equivalent combination of education and experience
