Teksky LLC seeks an Associate Attorney with experience or strong interest in tribal law, economic development, corporate governance, and business transactions. You will advise tribal governments, tribal entities, and tribally owned businesses on legal and regulatory matters.

The role emphasizes strong research and writing, negotiation, and communication skills, with opportunities to provide outside general counsel services and contribute to regulatory and governance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active District of Columbia Bar membership.
• 2–5 years of relevant legal experience preferred; all qualified candidates will be considered.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience representing tribal governments, tribal entities, or businesses is preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in tribal law, economic development, corporate law, or business transactions.

Responsibilities

• Advise tribal governments, tribal entities, and tribally owned businesses on legal and business matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and business transactions.
• Provide outside general counsel services to clients.
• Support economic development initiatives, corporate governance, and regulatory matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, memoranda, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with clients and legal teams to develop practical legal solutions.
