Job summary

Nisqually Indian Tribe is seeking a Trainee for the Nisqually Tribal Gaming Agency (NTGA) to develop gaming and regulatory knowledge. You will shadow staff and learn to perform the full scope of duties across investigations, surveillance, licensing, and auditing; progression to regular roles occurs after training.

The position involves learning to assist with casework, maintain records, and work with law enforcement and regulatory bodies to ensure compliant casino operations.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to obtain Nisqually Tribal Gaming License.
• Must be able to work irregular shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily routines of the NTGA office, including phone coverage and organization.
• Learn to monitor gaming operations and enforce compliance with laws and compacts.
• Assist with background investigations and licensing processes.
• Assist in audits, investigations, and surveillance activities as training progresses.
• Prepare reports documenting activities and assist in testimony and hearings.
