Job summary

White Earth Nation is seeking Commissioners for the WE Enterprises Board. The Commission consists of five voting members appointed by the Tribal Council, with residency requirements and terms defined.

The Board will hire an Executive Director to assist in duties and maintain sovereign authority. Qualifying candidates must have at least 4 years of progressive leadership experience across specified domains, and no felony convictions unless expunged.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate experience in at least 4 years in a progressive leadership position across Finance&Administration, Project/Engineering/Construction Management, Utility Systems, Field Ops, Legal/Compliance, Economic Development, Corporate Management, HR & Service Equity, or Natural Resource Management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and participate in Board meetings and other functions to conduct business.
• Evaluate and monitor staff performance to achieve strategic directives.
• Coordinate projects to support the organization’s strategic plan and budget monitoring.
• Advise Tribal Council and leadership on short- and long-range goals.
