Job summary

Virgo & Aries seeks an Associate Litigation Attorney (Construction & Civil Litigation) to join a specialized practice in Tysons, VA. The attorney will handle defective construction claims, contract disputes, project delays, and related litigation, with room to develop trial skills from day one.

We value independence, strong research and writing abilities, and a client‑focused approach. 3–5 years of civil litigation experience and Virginia bar admission are preferred; US residency is required;

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Virginia (Maryland and/or D.C. admission is a plus).
• 3–5 years of civil litigation and trial experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently.
• Experience with depositions, hearings, and motion practice.
• Excellent client communication and organizational skills.
• Background in construction, commercial, or real estate litigation is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client consultations and develop litigation strategies
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Take and defend depositions
• Argue motions in court
• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
• Collaborate with construction experts and consultants
• Prepare cases for trial, arbitration, and evidentiary hearings
