Job summary

Virgo & Aries LLC is seeking an Associate Litigation Attorney with a focus on construction and civil disputes. The role involves representing homeowners in disputes with contractors, builders, and developers, including defective construction, contract issues, delays, mechanic’s liens, and warranty matters.

Ideal candidates demonstrate ownership of cases, strong advocacy, and willingness to develop trial skills. Prior construction law experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• Active license to practice in Virginia (Maryland and/or D.C. admission is a plus).
• 3–5 years of civil litigation and trial experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client consultations and develop litigation strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Argue motions in court.
• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with construction experts and consultants.
• Prepare cases for trial, arbitration, and evidentiary hearings.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout their matters.
• Attorneys in this role receive meaningful responsibility from day one and work closely with a team lead who provides guidance and mentorship.
