Scion Staffing, Inc. is conducting a search for a temporary Trial Paralegal in New York to support a global law firm within a hybrid full-time role.

The assignment spans complex commercial litigation through trial and appeal, with a longer-term trial support component depending on schedules. The ideal candidate has 3–4 years in litigation paralegal roles, experience supporting commercial matters, and hands-on trial prep.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm.
• Experience supporting commercial litigation matters.
• Hands-on trial preparation and trial support experience.
• Experience performing cite checking and Bluebook standards.
• BigLaw experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation support software.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys through all phases of complex commercial litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal.
• Provide trial support across multiple high-profile litigation matters.
• Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness files, trial binders, demonstratives, and courtroom materials.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain pleadings, discovery materials, correspondence, and case files.
• Perform cite checking and Bluebook citation review for briefs, memoranda, and other legal filings.
• Coordinate deposition preparation, document productions, and litigation support materials.
• Track court deadlines, maintain case calendars, and assist with filing preparation.
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, court personnel, vendors, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel as needed.
• Conduct factual and legal research to support ongoing litigation matters.
• Maintain organized case documentation and assist with trial logistics in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Scion Staffing is conducting a search for a Temporary Trial Paralegal on behalf of a prestigious global law firm. This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity in New York supporting a highly regarded commercial litigation practice. The assignment is expected to provide longer-term trial support , though the duration will depend on business needs and trial schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Support attorneys through all phases of complex commercial litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal.
• Provide trial support across multiple high-profile litigation matters.
• Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness files, trial binders, demonstratives, and courtroom materials.

• Hands-on trial preparation and trial support experience required.
• Experience performing cite checking and legal citation review using Bluebook standards.
• Experience working in a BigLaw environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation support software.

Compensation & Benefits
