Job summary

Kosmos in Costa Mesa is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with 3-7 years of litigation experience to join our litigation practice. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with seasoned trial attorneys on significant litigation from early case strategy through trial preparation, in a lean, high-performing environment.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of litigation experience
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent organization and judgment with the ability to prioritize effectively
• Initiative, strong communication skills, and the ability to excel in a demanding, fast-paced practice
• A clear commitment to building a long-term career in sophisticated, trial-focused litigation
• Experience in consumer litigation, products liability, or employment law is especially valuable. Trial experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Legal research and factual investigation
• Drafting legal memoranda, pleadings, and motions
• Coordinating with expert witnesses and consultants
• Drafting offensive discovery and responding to defensive discovery
• Taking and preparing for depositions
• Managing document review and production
• Preparing cases for trial and participating in trial work
