Job Duties: Work involves standardized duties which follow well established procedures including records case identification data and receipt of documents on court records by hand, typewriter or computer. Responsible for file stamping, assembling documents in chronological order for case files, scanning/ imaging and indexing court documents. Assisting judges, attorneys, co-workers and the public. Functions related to receipts and disbursements of money, month end reporting and balancing procedures, answering telephone, certifying documents, issuing marriage licenses, assisting with jury management and performing other work as required with supervisor reviewing work for accuracy and completeness.
To aid the Clerk of the court in supervision of the office and employees and assist in technology related issues in place and implementation of new hardware and software programs. To supervise and be in charge in absence of the Clerk. Also, to aid in training and cross training of employees.
Required education and experience: Graduation from high school and one year of clerical experience is required. Thirty college semester hours or its equivalent may be substituted for the required experience. Ability to perform accurate computer data entry and operate standard office equipment.
Preferred qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Office software. Working experience in a court or law office.
