Job summary

The Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) in Massachusetts is seeking two Trial Attorneys for the Transition Age Youth office to provide direct representation in CAFL cases (C&P, CRA, PYA). • Attorneys must be committed to serving a culturally diverse, low-income population and must be eligible to practice law in Massachusetts.
• Access to reliable transportation to travel to courts and clients around the state.
• Ability to work remotely with home internet access.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct representation of transition age youth in CAFL cases at the trial level (C&P, CRA, PYA).
• Develop and deliver training on representation of transition age youth.
• Advise FJA staff and CAFL private panel attorneys on cases involving transition age youth.
• Conduct legal research and writing; stay current on practice issues.
