Job summary

Confidential Employer in Century City seeks an experienced trial attorney to take first-chair responsibility on a consumer-focused docket. You will represent California consumers against major manufacturers and dealers, handling sophisticated litigation with complex motions, depositions, and trial strategy.

The ideal candidate has an active California Bar license, 8+ years of litigation experience, and a proven record of multiple jury verdicts, including bench trials.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active California Bar license and membership in good standing.
• 8+ years of litigation and trial experience as a licensed attorney.
• Significant first-chair trial experience with a successful record of multiple jury verdicts.
• Representative experience conducting bench trials and/or jury trials through verdict.
• Strong client communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to consumer advocacy.
• Excellent leadership, organization, time management, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop trial strategy collaboratively and assume first-chair responsibility for trial efforts.
• Conduct and oversee complex legal research involving novel and sophisticated issues.
• Work directly with specialized outside counsel on behalf of the firm and its clients.
• Draft moving papers, oppositions, and other substantive filings involving complex legal issues.
• Appear at hearings involving motions and oppositions.
• Conduct depositions of PMK witnesses, apex employees, mechanical experts, fraud experts, and other key witnesses.
• Help develop and improve firm policies and procedures, including client communication practices.
• Identify and resolve issues efficiently and proactively.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide strong, professional guidance throughout litigation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to advance cases and strengthen litigation strategy.

$180,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year

• Arbitration, Coordinated Proceedings, and Multi-District Litigation experience is preferred.
