Strategic Legal Practices, based in California, seeks a full-time Trial Attorney to supervise a team and handle civil litigation in State and Federal courts. Licensed in California with 4–5 years of trial experience is preferred, including First Chair Jury Trials.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and California bar in good standing.
• 4–5 years of trial experience in civil litigation.
• 5–10 first chair jury trials completed.
• Strong drafting, analytical, organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority cases efficiently.
• Excellent communication with judges, staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-trial preparation and trial strategy.
• Delegate and supervise assignments for junior attorneys and staff.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses.
• Argue substantive motions in court.
• Independently manage and litigate a full case docket.
• Prepare litigation reports and risk assessments for clients and leadership.
• Engage in discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.

Position Overview

Strategic Legal Practices is seeking a full-time tenacious and perceptive Trial Attorney to join our rapidly expanding team. The ideal candidate should have experience supervising a team of attorneys and be licensed (and in good standing) in California with two or more years of experience in directly managing civil litigation in both State and Federal courts, inclusive of sophisticated law and motion work.

Compensation

• Competitive salary commensurate with experience - $190,000 - $350,000
• Billing bonus: Up to $20,000 - easy to earn!
