Job description

Job Overview:
A well-established plaintiff-side personal injury law firm in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking a seasoned Trial Attorney to lead high-value cases through all stages of litigation. This position is ideal for a courtroom-tested litigator who thrives in high-stakes environments and is committed to fighting for the rights of the injured. With full legal team support, this attorney will manage complex litigation matters from intake through verdict and play an instrumental role in mentoring junior attorneys.

Location:

Charlotte, North Carolina

Duties:

  • Manage and litigate complex personal injury cases in North Carolina District and Superior Courts
  • Lead all phases of litigation including pre-suit strategy, discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation
  • Represent clients at mediations, hearings, and jury trials
  • Investigate and evaluate claims and prepare trial strategy
  • Present evidence, deliver opening and closing arguments, and cross-examine witnesses in court
  • Provide legal counsel to clients with transparency and professionalism
  • Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to internal process improvements

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience, with a focus on personal injury
  • Proven experience taking cases from intake to jury verdict
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a full litigation docket independently
  • Strong courtroom presence and ability to think on your feet
  • Skilled in negotiations and litigation strategy development

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar (required)
  • Admission to the South Carolina Bar is a plus

Skills:
