Job Description

The Trial Attorney represents insureds and the Company in defending bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases. This role involves preparing for and conducting hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contact clients to discuss their case and answer questions.
  2. Review new files, all evidence, approve pleadings, propound discovery, and develop strategies.
  3. Investigate and pursue subrogation litigation when appropriate.
  4. Conduct settlements and dispositive proceedings such as mediations and arbitrations.
  5. Prepare for and conduct court appearances, including hearings and status conferences.
  6. Conduct depositions, examinations under oath, and prepare summary documents.
  7. Prepare witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials, including expert witnesses.
  8. Try and arbitrate cases; prepare motions and summary documents in limine.
  9. Keep claim business partners updated on case status and strategy.
Education
  • Four-year Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • Juris Doctor (Required)
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience (Preferred)
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not include supervisory duties.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is $66,800.00 - $120,650.00, based on experience and qualifications. A background check is required for candidates.
