Job Description

The Trial Attorney represents insureds and the Company in defending bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases. Responsibilities include preparing for and conducting hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact clients to discuss their case and answer questions
  • Review new files, evidence, approve pleadings, propound discovery, and develop strategies
  • Investigate and pursue subrogation litigation as appropriate
  • Conduct settlements and dispositive proceedings (e.g., mediations, arbitrations)
  • Prepare for and conduct court appearances
  • Conduct depositions and examinations under oath, prepare summaries
  • Prepare witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials, including expert witnesses
  • Try and/or arbitrate cases, prepare motions and summaries in limine
  • Keep claim business partners updated on case status
Education
  • 4-year Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • Juris Doctor (Required)
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience (Preferred)
Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not have supervisory duties.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges from $66,800 to $120,650, based on experience and qualifications.

Applicants will be required to undergo a background investigation.
