Qualifications

• Illinois law license required for lateral hires.
• 2–5 years of experience in litigation.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience with medical malpractice litigation is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
• Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Interest in developing business and expanding our current practice.

Responsibilities

• Taking and defending depositions.
• Conducting written discovery and research.
• Drafting pleadings and motions.
• Participating in trial preparation; second chair trial experience is preferred.
• Representing clients in court.
• Legal and factual analysis, as well as negotiation and advocacy.
• Some travel may be required.
