Job summary

Distinct | North America is seeking a Defense Trial Attorney for California with remote, hybrid, or flexible work arrangements. You will lead cases from intake to trial, handling general liability, premises and catastrophic injury, trucking, construction site accidents, and product liability matters.

The role requires first chair experience or strong second chair time, a proven track record of running files yourself, and the confidence to stand at the lectern when the jury is seated.

Defense Trial Attorney | California | Remote, Hybrid or Flexible | $200,000 to $300,000

Most defense lawyers can tell you how a case would have gone at trial. Fewer have found out. I'm working with defense firms that have more files to try than lawyers willing to try them, and they want people to take the first chair.

The work

• General liability, premises and catastrophic injury
• Trucking and transportation
• Construction site accidents and habitability
• Product liability

You depose the witnesses and experts, argue the motions in limine and stand at the lectern when the jury is seated. Carriers and clients deal with you directly.

Pay

$200,000 to $300,000 depending on the firm and your trial record, with remote, hybrid or flexible working anywhere in California.
