Rivierre Recruit is seeking a defense-side litigation attorney to handle insurance defense and general liability matters across Premises Liability,Catastrophic Injury, Transportation, Construction Defect and Products Liability in California.

You’ll manage cases from intake to resolution, take and defend depositions, and coordinate with clients and carriers. The firm emphasizes real trial work, with resources to build cases and advance to first-chair opportunities.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Hands-on deposition experience leading the proceedings.
• Solid discovery and motion practice knowledge.

Defense-side litigation role, with a well-established firm that represents businesses, carriers and public entities in their most important cases, backed by offices across several states and dozens of active practice groups, and the flexibility to work throughout most of California.

You’ll handle insurance defense and general liability matters across areas like premises liability, catastrophic injury, transportation, construction defect products liability, and labor & employment, with room to focus on the work that fits your background.

The firm runs at a fast pace with real trial work, and puts serious resources behind its attorneys so you can spend your time building cases instead of fighting the paperwork.

Responsibilities:

• Handle a defense caseload from intake through resolution, including pleadings, written discovery, motions, mediation and trial
• Take and defend depositions, and attend hearings and site inspections as the lead on your files
• Build case strategy and evaluations, and report to clients and carriers on their timelines
• Work across practice areas like premises liability, catastrophic injury, transportation, construction defect, products liability and insurance coverage, depending on your background and interests
• Lean on a dedicated motion team firm-wide, so more of your time goes to depositions, strategy and the courtroom

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of civil litigation experience
• JD and active California State Bar membership in good standing
• Hands-on deposition experience where you’ve taken the lead, plus solid discovery and motion practice
• Trial or arbitration experience is a major plus
• Insurance defense, general liability, premises or catastrophic injury background is preferred, and plaintiff-side litigators looking to move to the defense side are welcome
