Baystate Health is seeking a Triage Recheck Assistant to join the Emergency Department team at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. The role includes patient care, monitoring vital signs, clinical support, and administrative tasks within a fast-paced ED.

Typical schedule is part-time day shifts with 24 hours per week; candidates must have GED/HiSET and BLS/EMT-Basic certifications. Compensation ranges hourly and includes standard health benefits as described by Baystate Health.

Baystate Health is seeking a Triage Recheck Assistantto join our Emergency Department team at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. Our Emergency Department team provides care to a diverse adult patient population, working closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality care.

Triage Recheck Assistant Responsibilities Include:

• Patient Care & Monitoring: Provide age-appropriate care, obtain vital signs, monitor patient conditions, and report changes to nursing staff.
• Clinical Support: Assist with treatments and procedures, including applying sterile and non-sterile dressings, following hospital protocols.
• Patient Safety & Comfort: Maintain a safe environment, assist with patient mobility, address allergies, and provide comfort measures.
• Patient Advocacy: Support patients and families, ensuring compassionate care and effective communication.
• Administrative Support: Maintain patient logs, manage charts, and deliver documentation to appropriate departments.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with nursing staff and colleagues to support efficient patient care and department operations.
• Training & Compliance: Maintain required certifications, attend mandatory training, and follow hospital safety and emergency procedures.

Schedule Details

• Job Type: Part-Time,24 hoursper week
• Shift: Day, 7am-7:30pm
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts
• Weekend Requirement: Every other Friday and Saturday
• Holiday Requirements: Every other Holiday
