Job summary

Ohio’s Hospice is seeking a compassionate PRN Triage Nurse (RN) to join our Dayton team. You will assess calls, provide clinical guidance, and coordinate services to ensure comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients and families.

Responsibilities include triaging based on urgency, documenting assessments, communicating with the interdisciplinary team, and coordinating level-of-care changes with schedulers. Ohio licensed RNs with CPR and CHPN within two years preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• State-required auto insurance coverage.
• Strong documentation and computer skills.
• Excellent clinical assessment and judgment skills.
• Experience with pain and symptom management.
• IV and vascular access device skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Ohio’s Hospice is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a PRN Triage Nurse. This position is ideal for an RN who enjoys providing clinical support, coordinating patient care, and helping hospice patients and families receive timely, compassionate service when they need it most.

Position: PRN Triage Nurse – RN

Schedule: PRN

Hours: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Location: On-site – Dayton/Centerville, Ohio

About the Role

The Triage Nurse – RN provides clinical support to hospice patients and families through our Call Center. You will assess incoming calls, prioritize patient needs, provide clinical guidance, coordinate appropriate services, and communicate with the interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care.

Your clinical judgment, assessment skills, and compassionate communication will help ensure our patients receive timely care focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
