Job Description

This is a remote position and an anticipated future need.

Spanish bilingual preferred.

This person must be located in a multi-state compact state and hold a compact RN License in the state you reside.

As a 24/7 call center operation, schedules will vary to ensure continuous coverage:

  • Shifts may be scheduled across any day of the week
  • Start times will vary based on business needs
  • Schedules may include evenings, weekends, and holidays

Join our team as a Worker’s Compensation Telephone Triage Clinician, providing inbound telephone triage services remotely to injured workers while following state Worker Compensation rules and regulations. Responsibilities include:

  • Using clinical expertise and communication skills to triage, consult, and recommend for emergent and non-emergent situations
  • Conveying compassion and ensuring service excellence for injured workers
  • Making safe decisions for appropriate care using critical thinking
  • Using departmental evidence-based protocols to triage patients
  • Building and maintaining strong team relationships
  • Maintaining current knowledge and skills in professional, clinical, and system areas
  • Demonstrating effective written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

  • Unencumbered RN License in a compact state of residence
  • Minimum of three years’ recent RN experience in adult clinical areas such as Telephone Triage, ER, Urgent Care, Medical Surgical, or Occupational Medicine
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Ability to obtain other state licenses as required (fees reimbursed)
  • Ability to work independently in a virtual environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexibility in scheduling to serve customer needs and maintain operational efficiency

Key Considerations

  • Overtime may be required weekly
  • Shift extensions may be necessary to provide continuous coverage or high call volume responses
  • Bi-annual shift bidding allows schedule adjustments based on business needs
