About The Role

Line Cooks will take part in all aspects of the kitchen including service, sanitation, safety, menu knowledge, and station set up. The Line Cook plays a key role in contributing to customer satisfaction.

  1. Prepare food for service (e.g.: chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
  2. Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
  3. Properly use kitchen equipment and utilities.
  4. Ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 30 pounds.
Specific Requirements Of The Role
  1. Set up and stock preparation stations and kitchen with necessary supplies.
  2. Prepare and cook menu items, including main dishes, desserts, and appetizers.
  3. Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
  4. Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas.
  5. Ensure kitchen operation procedures and hygiene comply with food safety standards and regulations.
  6. Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor/executive chef.
Qualifications
  1. Proven experience as a line cook or prep cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  2. Knowledge of cooking techniques including grilling, sautéing, roasting, and frying.
  3. Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification is a plus).
  4. Ability to follow recipes, plating guides, and kitchen procedures accurately.
  5. Strong knife skills and comfort working with various kitchen equipment.
  6. Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask during busy service.
  7. Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude.
  8. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  9. Must be punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented.
