Job summary

The Finish Line USA, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Associate Buyer to support the development and execution of product assortment strategies.

You will assist in appointments, participate in product selection, and help plan seasonal assortments in line with financial targets. You will periodically provide weekly sales reports, monitor inventory flow, and collaborate with marketing to drive category features across channels.

Qualifications

• Experience in branded buying or merchandising is advantageous but not required.
• Associates degree with focus in merchandising, buying or planning is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of current and upcoming sports fashion trends.

Responsibilities

• Assist Buyer in developing and executing product assortment strategies aligned with corporate objectives and financial results.
• Attend appointments and participate in selection and editing of products.
• Assist with planning seasonal assortments to achieve financial plans.
• Provide weekly item selling reports at style/color level.
• Track samples for Visual Planners and coordinate with brands.
• Identify trends and apply observations to differentiate from competition.
• Support inventory management including RTVs and markdowns.
• Prepare and present ranges for sign-offs with relevant functions.
• Engage with brands to build relationships and explore opportunities.
