Job summary

At Home Group Inc. in Coppell, TX is seeking an Associate Buyer (Trees & Outdoor Lighting).

The role creates and executes merchandise strategies with the Buyer/Sr. Buyer, manages assortment development, product development, and go-to-market efforts including in-store visuals and marketing support. You will partner with Planner, Sourcing, and Visual teams to maximize sales, margin and turns across pre-season, during season, and post-season.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years’ experience in retail buying/ merchandising, planning, or related experience.
• Merchandising or PD experience in (Decor) is a plus but not required.
• Product development ability; creative and innovative skillset.
• Ability to identify emerging trends and monitor competition.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Organizational skills and time management.
• Willing to travel for market and store trips.
• Innate curiosity and passion for product and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Merchandising Strategy and Product Development.
• Develop and execute merchandise strategies with Buyer/Sr. Buyer.
• Support Product Development with sourcing manager.
• Travel and time in market for trend identification.
• Vendor Relationships with key partners.
• Collaborate with National Brand partners to curate assortments.
• OTB and P&L insights with Sr. Buyer/ Planner.
• Analyze purchasing trends and sales data; recommend actions.
• Provide assortment changes based on market data.
• Cross-Department Collaboration with Marketing, Digital, Packaging.
• Coordinate with planning, sourcing, and visual teams.
• Support strategic initiatives and milestone meetings.
