Russell Landscape’s Tree Division is seeking a motivated Tree Worker – Climbing Arborist Crew Member to join our team. The role emphasizes safety, climbing expertise, and growth in arboriculture.

You will be part of a skilled crew performing pruning, rigging, and removal operations, while adhering to ANSI standards and using proper PPE. A valid driver’s license is required, and CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous tree work and climbing experience preferred; willingness to learn new skills required.
• Strong knowledge of tree care techniques, tools, and safety procedures.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a motivated Tree Worker – Climbing Arborist Crew Member to join our tree division. The ideal candidate has climbing experience, understands safe work practices, and is eager to expand their knowledge in tree care and rigging operations.

• Understands and demonstrates the safe and effective use of manual saws and pruners and mechanical tools, that chainsaws, power pole saws, and brushcutters.
• Understands and demonstrates safe work practices while performing tree climbing, pruning, complex rigging, lowering, and removal operations.
• Understands and demonstrates safe work practices while operating wood/brush chippers.
• Proficient in knots for climbing and rigging applications.
• Can execute, demonstrate, and explain proper pruning techniques, standards, and best management practices while pruning from the ground and while aloft to ensure tree health and to accomplish company/client objectives.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• CDL preferred but not required.
