Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber to trim and remove trees, operate equipment, and maintain job sites. This full-time, non-exempt role involves tree work at various heights, loading gear, and ensuring safety around the public and crew.

The position emphasizes physical endurance, ability to climb and work from ladders, and careful handling of tools, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders at various heights.
• No fear of heights.
• Good hand-to-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trim and/or remove trees, branches, and trunk sections.
• Operate and service required tools/equipment.
• Cut and split large debris into manageable pieces.
• Spray areas with equipment to prevent regrowth.
• Load/unload trucks and feed brush into a woodchipper.
• Repair minor damage to lawns, fences, and walkways.
• Maintain tool, truck, and work area condition and cleanliness.
• Relays hand signals, directs traffic, and operates trucks as needed.
• Support customer and public safety by setting up barriers and warnings.
