Job summary

Utilities Service, LLC in Edwardsville, IL seeks a Trimmer/Climber to trim and remove trees, operate and service equipment, and load debris for transport. This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position.

The role requires climbing, working at heights, and strong safety awareness; CDL is required by the license section and pre-employment checks apply. Training for bucket rescue and yard work is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces while handling equipment.
• No fear of heights.
• Must have good hand-to-eye coordination.
• Must be willing to join local union and pay union dues.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush & debris into wood chipper.
• Safeguards employees and public from hazards in the work area.
• Maintains and inspects tools, truck, and equipment.
