Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in West Virginia is hiring entry-level and skilled tree trimmers and climbers. On-the-job training is provided as you help trim, top, and reshape trees to clear utility powerlines, working outdoors in all weather.

The position is full-time and non-exempt with hourly pay based on experience. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, employee assistance, and life/disability coverage. A pre-employment screen may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willing to work long hours and overtime during emergencies, including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees by climbing with ladders, safety gear, or from ground.
• Operates chainsaws, chisels, and log splitters to shape trees and logs.
• Loads/unloads materials and feeds debris into a woodchipper.
• Maintains tools and equipment in safe, working order.
• Assists in setting up barriers and directing traffic as needed.
• Promotes safe work practices and coordinates with customers and property owners.
