Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber for full-time, non-exempt work. The role involves trimming/removing trees, operating equipment, and ensuring safe, efficient job site operations in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities include debris management, traffic control, and supporting training of new hires. A high school diploma and ability to work at heights are preferred; pre-employment screening applies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to walk, climb, and work from ladders at various heights under demanding conditions.
• No fear of heights; good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trims and removes trees, branches, and trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools and equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Sprays areas with equipment to prevent further growth.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush into a woodchipper.
• Repairs minor job-related damage to lawns, fences, and walkways.
• Maintains tools and equipment; ensures safe operation.
• Relay signals, direct traffic, and operate trucks as assigned.
• Keeps trucks and work areas clean and orderly.
• Trained to perform tree and bucket rescue.
• Assists in training new employees.
• Inspects tools and vehicles; requests repairs when needed.
• Performs other related work as assigned.
